Lunchtime Supervisor

We have a vacancy for a lunchtime supervisor.  The hours will be 1 hour and 20 minutes

Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS application form and to provide criminal conviction information (formerly known as CRB). Job application forms are available from the School Office and must be returned by 2:30pm on the closing date Friday 5th December. If anyone would like to know more about the role, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Educational Welfare Office

Every school has a named Education Welfare Officer (EWO) for the school to contact to discuss any attendance issues. The EWO visits schools at regular intervals in order to meet with the Headteacher or senior staff and discuss any pupils who may have school attendance problems or other welfare issues.

Our EWO is Mandy Lloyd and she is now going to be based in our school one morning a month to look at the attendance of all our children and to follow up persistent lates, absences and families taking excessive unauthorised absence.

As from 5th January 2015, the school’s attendance registers will be checked to identify pupils with attendance or punctuality patterns that appear to be of concern. Any concerns will result in the EWO arranging a meeting with the parents to seek information about any problems or difficulties that may be affecting the child’s attendance at school and discuss how these may be resolved.
