We are very pleased to see that 6W had the highest attendance of all classes for their SATs week!

4I also had very good attendance last week – well done to them. R:1H had the greatest number of children at school for all of Early Years and Key Stage One, with illness and holidays affecting all classes.

The school has a target of 96% attendance for the academic year 2015-2016. At present we are at 96.54%. Please help us stay on track by making sure your child comes to school every day on time next term. The vast majority of our families achieve an attendance level of at least 96%, however, where families do not achieve a satisfactory level of attendance we can discuss this with you and see how we can support you to improve. We do appreciate that children get ill from time to time – but there are primary schools in the UK achieving an overall level of attendance as high at 98% - well above the national average.

We hope you can support us in achieving our target — we can only do it with your support!

*An attendance rate of 96% equates to approximately 8.5 days absence per academic year.

Year 6 SATs Picnic

Mr Willmott would like to say to say a massive `thank you` to parents who contributed all those lovely munchies for our end of SATs picnic last week! This year beat the record for the amount of food brought in! For the first time, our oldest children shared their celebrations (and teddies) with our youngest children from the Early Years Unit who seem to very much enjoy the experience. You would have been very proud to see how mature, caring and thoughtful your Year 6 children were with the little ones. A brilliant time was had by all!!

Spring Bank Holiday

Have a lovely Spring Bank Holiday. I hope we have some good weather and you have chance to spend some time outdoors with your family. We return to school to school on Monday 1st June.
