World Book Day

After a busy week with a disco on Tuesday and a visit from Mr Woodyatt and Mrs Frost who worked with the staff on Wednesday to help subject leaders move from good to outstanding in subject leadership, we had a quiet World Book Day on Thursday. Classes might have shared their favourite books, had extended story times or completed book-based games and activities. 5L were ahead of us all having made Turkish delight earlier in the week after reading about the White Witch using it to lure Edward into trouble in their class book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Please do continue to read and talk about books with your children all the way through school. Being able to read and take in written information quickly and easily is essential for the world of work and is a pleasurable leisure activity. All children should have received a £1.00 book token.

Class Photographs

Tempest Photography will be in school for the whole day on Friday 20th March to take class photographs.

Red Nose Day Friday 13th March

On Friday 13th March we will have a non-uniform day for Red Nose Day. The theme of this year`s Comic Relief is “Make your face funny for money”.  Children can wear anything of their choice for money and donate £1.00 to comic relief.

School Disco

Thank you to everyone who attended the School Disco on Tuesday. The turnout was fantastic and approximately £500 was raised. This will be used to buy resources for the children.
