Appointment`s During School Hours

A reminder that all appointment cards/letters should be brought into school if you wish to take your child out of school early, especially on a Friday afternoon! Thank you.

Reading Awards

We have launched a new reading award scheme in school. Each year group has their own list of books to read and when children have read all these books they will earn a badge specific to their

year group.

In addition there is a second badge that can be earned. This badge requires the children to have read all the specified books and to have a specific reading age. This reading age (based on the government`s new `tougher` curriculum) ranges from 6 years for reception children to 12 years for children in Year 6.

We know that all children will not be able to attain this but would like as many children as possible to aspire towards these higher standards.  Your child`s class teacher will be sending home more details of our reading badge awards.

Christmas Fair

The PTA are busy with preparations for our Christmas Fair on Tuesday 24th November. They are in need of donations of new/used/unwanted toys in good condition for the Toy Tombola, so give those toy cupboards a sort out prior to the influx of Christmas gifts!
