Christmas Nativity

Reception, Years 1 and 2 classes joined together for a wonderful Nativity play this week, to a packed audience of proud parents, carers and other family members. The children sang

and performed beautifully and it was lovely to see how well attended the event was. Thanks to those parent/carers of toddlers who enabled us to watch and enjoy the performance without any distractions. I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who have worked so hard to prepare the children.

Years 3/4 Production

‘Gabriel`s Big Break’ is being held at 2:00pm on Monday and Tuesday in the school hall (ticket only). I would like to say ‘Thank you’ firstly to the children for their hard work during rehearsals, and to the staff for all their hard work and preparations.  There will be a retiring collection at the end of each performance and all donations will go to the Wakefield Hospice.

Christmas Parties

On the day of your child’s party the children can wear their party clothes all day. Please remember they will be playing out in the morning break and at lunchtime. They will be playing party games and thin strappy sandals or strappy tops are unsuitable.

Lost Uniform and Mix-Ups

There are over 250 children in our school and sometimes jumpers and other uniform items can go missing or can go home with the wrong person. We have already had children lose or mix up uniforms with other children in their class. Therefore we are asking you to make sure that your

children’s names are written on each piece of uniform and for you to check uniform to ensure it belongs to your child. Thank you.

Wakefield Hospice Concert

Thank you to everyone who attended the Carol Concert at St Paul’s Church. We have had some marvellous feedback regarding our choir’s performance. I do hope everybody enjoyed it.

Ticket sales from Alverthorpe St Paul`s raised £620.00 for the Wakefield Hospice.
