Attendance

Attendance for the last week of term was shocking with a total attendance of 94.73%. We know that some children were away on holiday and, while we sympathise with the desire to have an affordable family holiday, it is registered as unauthorised holiday and makes our attendance look very poor. Please help us by ensuring that your child comes to school every day.

Well-done to 1:2HF for 97% the highest overall in the school and 5L for being the best attending class in KS2.

Parent / Teacher / Consultations

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the parent teacher consultations this week. Your attendance demonstrates to your child the partnership between home and school. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to check on your child`s progress and look at the work they are doing in school. I hope you found it beneficial.

Robin Hood`s Bay

With the Year 4 residential just around the corner, can you please ensure all consent and medical forms have been returned to school. Your child`s £10 spending money (in change) should be handed in to the class teacher in a sealed envelope with their name on it.

On Tuesday 3rd March the PTA are having a school disco here in the school hall.  Disco times are as follows:

4:30 – 5:30 pm    Key Stage 2 children Admission £2.00 - Refreshments will be on sale.

Rec/Key Stage 1  - Parents/carers must collect their children at 4.15 pm from their classroom door with the exception of Mrs Wood’s class who will go from Miss Hollis’s classroom (Rec/Year1 class).

Key Stage 2 Disco (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) – The children will come to the school hall via the main entrance and will be collected or allowed to walk down the footpath to meet parents at the car park at the bottom of the hill.

Children going to St Paul’s United will be dropped or collected by Mrs Gay, and children at dance club can bring a change of clothes and go to the disco from dance club.

PTA Parents Meeting – Tuesday 17th March at 6.00pm in the school hall.

The PTA are holding a meeting on Tuesday 17th March.  All parent/carers are all very welcome to come along, see what happens and hopefully get involved in supporting the school. Offers of help from new members are always greatly appreciated and there are many different ways in which you can support the Association, who organise various events throughout the year to raise money for school funds. Every penny raised is put to good use and benefits all the children in school.

* Please try to come along and join in as your support

is desperately needed.
